Full Membership. A full member shall be the owner, past owner or joint owner of a yacht designed by Dr T. Harrison Butler. Where there is any doubt about the authenticity of the design, the President shall co-opt the services of two or more members to investigate the vessel concerned and advise on its acceptability.

Members of long standing who part with their yachts may, if they wish, remain as Full Members or change to Associate membership but may only fly the Members' flag on HB boats.

Associate Membership. Associate membership shall be open to anyone, not necessarily a boat owner, who has an interest in any facet of Dr Butler's life, particularly in the sphere of yacht designing and in the boats built to his designs.

Honorary Membership. The President may, at his/her discretion, appoint Honorary Members. Members may submit names to the President for consideration for Honorary Membership.
